The Norwich Arts Center presents its annual art bazaar, Holiday Show 2010: A Sale of Small Holiday Treasures on exhibit at the NAC Gallery from Wednesday, December 1, 2010 to Saturday, December 24, 2010. An open invitation to all local artists, work and entry fees for this unjuried exhibit will be accepted Friday, November 19; Saturday, November 20; Wednesday, November 24; and Saturday, November 27 from 12:00 – 4:00 PM all days. An Opening Reception for the exhibit will be held Friday, December 3, 2010 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A tradition every winter, this exhibit attracts a broadly eclectic range of work and artists.

Formerly known as the 6x6 Show due to the 6" size limit for entries, NAC is breaking the mold this year and extending the size cap to 12" in any direction. The exhibit is still an unjuried invitational open to all interested artists, and all media is accepted.

According to Susan Parish, the President of NAC’s Artists Cooperative, the show is a wonderful opportunity for artists: “It is non-juried... so it’s very non-threatening. The work is small... great for gifts and inexpensive.”

Non-refundable entry fees apply: $10 per piece, $20 for 2 pieces, $25 for 3 pieces for NAC Members and $15 per piece, $30 for 2 pieces, $40 for 3 pieces for non-members. Work is sold right off the wall, pedestal or counter and artists may replace sold work with new work at no extra cost. All work entered must be for sale, ready to hang or install when entered and cannot exceed 12" in any direction. Outside of that the sky's the limit. The show is a holiday show, so artists are encouraged to showcase exquisite, must-have gift items and unique fine art.

For a prospectus with full details on how to enter work into this exhibit, visit the Norwich Arts Center websit at www.norwicharts.org.

Extended gallery hours for December are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12noon to 4pm. For more info call the NAC Gallery at 860-887-2789 or visit their website at www.norwicharts.org.
